$1500 for groceries, bus passes for community

Parkwood Gardens Neighbourhood Group is a volunteer-run organization located in the west end of Guelph; their goal is to provide a variety of community-based programs to meet the needs of families and children in our neighbourhood. The neighbourhood includes approximately 10,000 people in 2500 households in the areas near the Hanlon Expressway, Wellington, Whitelaw and Paisley Roads.

PGNG runs programs such as an emergency food cupboard and clothing closet, an after school homework program for elementary level children, activity and interest program for children, and adult programs. (We share this information with you, because if this pulls on your heart and you want to get involved, we hope that you will! Being plugged into the community around you is so important.)

Recently we were able to give PGNG $1500 to go towards groceries that are otherwise hard to find, bus passes, program supplies, and diapers to support the community. And today, we want to thank everyone who has brought in school snacks as they will be used by PGNG in the after school programming. We do this the 3rd Sunday of every month.
