$500 in Grocery Gift Cards

Recently we were able to give $500 in grocery gift cards to a dad, experiencing a hard time. Recently divorced, underemployed, and struggling with his mental health, someone from our congregation was chatting with them, and felt that as a church we could help out. They submitted a request for help to our Outreach team, and as a church we were able to give $500 in grocery cards.

Don’t underestimate what seemingly casual conversations on the playground can lead to! We are part of a church where people who pay attention and build trust with their neighbours create bridges to provide support when it is needed.
